I know people rave about the other banh mi spot but this one is my favorite. I haven't found anything else close to their BBQ pork banh mi #3. The BBQ pork is a minced, sweet and savory almost like a pork jerky texture. The bread is crunchy but soft on the inside. The ratio of pickled veggies to meat is good and there's also an option to add peppers if you prefer spicy. This is a no frills takeout only shop, and also only accepts cash. Service is generally pretty quick and they speak Cantonese. I would recommend calling ahead to order as sometimes the wait could be 10-15 minutes if there are multiple orders ahead of yours.
The bread was hella crunchy and the ratio of meat to pickled veggies was solid. For $9 you can get really full.
My favorite banh mi in all of NYC. The fried pork in the Special Combination adds a savory yet sweet texture that no other place comes close to replicating. For $9, this loaf is worth my trek every time.
it's just a counter service banh mi spot in Brooklyn Chinatown off of eighth Avenue. It really felt like a hole in the wall. The sandwiches were about $10. the #1 was a bit on the skimpy side with the fillings, but it was tasty. The Vietnamese coffee was strong and made to go. Service was a bit slow. It took about 10 to 15 minutes to make me the two sandwiches.
The banh mi number one is now $9. Still tasty. Perfectly toasted bread with roast pork, pickled carrots, pate, head cheese and cucumbers. Service is quick no frills. Very solid banh mi. Too bad the price keeps increasing.
$9 is expensive but its an immaculate bbq sandwich. I try to call for pixk up bc the wait gets long. Cash Only!
Small inside, no dining in, friendly, mask is not needed at this time/ignore the sign, had the special combination sandwich #1/ not spicy option, very good bread & filling. Ca phe iced coffee is good too, strong yummy taste.
First time trying their banh mi and I also wanted an avocado shake, but the person working there said they don't make shakes anymore. Ordered the #1 (Banh mi, house special combination sandwich) and was asked to wait outside for 10mins. Waited about 15mins to find out the sandwich was sitting inside. So keep an eye on your sandwich. The banh mi was really good. Bread was nicely toasted, meats were good, but some pieces were too fatty. I also wished it had pate on it, that's actually my favorite part in a banh mi.

Great bread! Crusty on the outside and pillowy on the inside but not too hard that it wrecks the insides of your mouth. Filling is flavorful and decent price for the area.
